The research objectives of this MScCCAFS research project are:
- To examine cocoa-related deforestation and estimate carbon stocks and flows associated with cocoa farming in five cocoa-producing provinces in Indonesia using field surveys of carbon stocks and flows and satellite data to identify spatial distribution of cocoa systems.
- To develop and trial a novel methodology for estimating the carbon stocks and flows of cocoa farming in Indonesia.
