Research Project

I have recently done my thesis on the 'Vulnerabilities Exposed by Import Dependent Domestic and Imported Commodities; Resilience to Reduce Vulnerabilities and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions'.

I done this part of the MScCCAFS course in NUI Galway along with AECOM. The study develops a methodology which allows for the examination of a countries import dependencies. This methodology was piloted in the Republic of Ireland where the examination of import dependencies allowed the study to look at what risks and resulting vulnerabilities Ireland was exposed to as result of these import dependencies. The study also looked at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and associated vulnerabilities through substitution.
