My Time At CCAFS

My Time At CCAFS

I was very lucky to have built on my foundation of general agriculture and agricultural policy towards a more climate and environment and climate sensitive approach. My interest in bringing Agriculture into the new century building on the new smart world. Early last year while thinking about my future and I came across a leaflet for the CCAFS Masters. After some serious thought and examination of the course, I realised that the MSc CCAFS complemented my interests. So I applied and was accepted within the week of me supplying all the necessary documents.

So off I went to Galway. A lovely city, as cosmopolitan as Dublin while being maintaining the rural feel I missed while in Dublin. My class was of all ages and interests which allowed for a meshing of ideas and different viewpoints. Our different backgrounds, brought expertise on different topics that while you knew you weren’t going to top one class allowed for interesting discussions.

During the year the MSc CCAFS won best Post Graduate course of the year! Which only highlights my wisdom for choosing it. Dr Peter McKeown and Dr Charles Spillane kept a steady flow of interesting work that had us swamped ( In a good way) in work, interesting work though. I consider myself lucky to have done the course and feel it will serve me greatly in the long run.
