National Adaptation Planning Webinars

The NAP-Ag programme runs a series of webinars that will address technical topics especially for adaptation planning for the agricultural sectors. They bring specialized experts on topics to highlight the importance of their topic in an hour long for each topic. The series is organised jointly between FAO and UNDP along with other partner institutes such as the Least Expert Group and UNEP.  The Webinar Series so far has focused on:

  • Economics of adaptation in agriculture: Impact evaluations and cost-benefit analyses
  • Mainstreaming gender in climate change adaptation planning for the agriculture sectors
  • Capacity development to integrate agriculture in NAPs process
    Addressing agriculture, forestry and fisheries in National Adaptation Plans – Supplementary Guidelines
  • The Role of Climate Information Services in Adaptation Planning for Agriculture

The future webinars that are planned for the rest of the year are:

  • Integrating risks into planning and budgeting
  • NDC, SDGs and NAP
  • Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Social protection and climate change adaptation
  • Gender and market development

These webinars are useful sources with case studies from member countries to provide direction from NAPs partner countries.
