Can’t teach an old dog new tricks

How it felt pressing send on my finalized thesis (An over-exaggeration)

In the two weeks since arriving home things have been hectic!

Between the random calls to help on the farm, outings to catch up with friends, spending time with my family (and dogs) my day light hours are pretty booked up. Which has led to my old habit of being a night owl…

I have been up into the wee hours each night since arriving home, working on the write up of this research project! As they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, and I am doing exactly what I did during my dissertation write up last year. Cup after cup of tea and motivational music playlists are the only thing to keep me going until 3am (and after) each night!

(Sneaky tip for anyone that is as bad at proof reading as I am: make the computer read the document to you. Gives the eyes a well needed break from the screen and it is easy to hear misspellings when the AI stumbles!)

Playing a dangerous game resting my cuppas on my keyboard

So now here we are 30,000 words and 90 pages of my blood, sweat and tears finally complete! It has been a journey, and there isn’t much left to go with the final presentations next week.
