Calling out for a Nero

Calling out for a Nero

In Galway I discovered a love for going to cafes with a book or to do some college work! The cafe of choice there for me was always Nero.

Now since arriving in Hanoi I am on a quest to find my new Cafe Nero!

I’ve had Vietnamese coffee under the watchful eye of a cockerel…

Vietnamese coffee is so strong, I was not prepared for that!

Mixed my own flower tea to watch the colour change from blue to purple…

Unfortunately I only have two hands and didn’t get to video the colour transition

But it seems my search is over quickly after finding a literal Hidden Gem for myself!

I set out to find this sustainable, eco-friendly cafe this weekend after I spotted it on social media months ago. The Grab bike driver nor myself knew where to go so I hopped off in the general area and found it on foot. This led to me walking down a random alleyway like the smart-cookie I am!

I like to gloss over details like ‘I wandered down this alley today’ when I talk to my family

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back! So after passing two families kitchens and hanging left I found five baristas very surprised (and delighted I hope) to see me!

After being ushered in I was instantly obsessed with this place! The quirkiness of all three floors has me smitten and I can’t wait to retreat to this place whenever I want to do an extra spot of work using an old tractor bonnet as my desk 😂

The peach tea gave me life in the 37 degree heat!
The hilariously inappropriate decor is also right up my alley
