I am Mwape Moses Kachasa, a 44 year old and graduate student in MSc Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security at the National University of Ireland – Galway (NUIG). I am from Zambia in Southern Africa and I have been working for the Ministry of Agriculture for the past 15 years as a Senior Agricultural Officer (SAO) in Namwala District of Southern Province. I studied a diploma in Agricultural Sciences with a major in Crop Science and later pursued a BSc in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Zambia.
I would like to gain knowledge and skills during my MSc studies in CCAFS that would help me contribute to formulation of effective policies aimed at responding to the devastating effects of climate emergency. My area of interest under the CCAFS program is Food Security.
