Living in Roma

FAO is a great organisation to work in. Set between the baths of Caracalla and the Circus Maximus you are lucky to not be lacking in green space and shade. Rome is as picturesque as imaginable with a charm that lasts as you stay. Working at FAO is as expected hard but interesting and personal interest can easily direct where you wish to work.

To enjoy Rome you need to enjoy the coffee. The rules surrounding the consumption of coffee, what coffees you drink at what time are fairly sophisticated. So far I have managed to figure out that your not allowed a cappuccino after half 10, beyond that I am probably insulting the cafe staff.

The heat is still pleasant although I have been warned about the intensity that will occur. Compared to rainy cold Galway, Rome is too damn hot but sadly it will only get worse, luckily gelato is there to help, and it helps that apparently I live above a bar that has the best Tiramisu in all of Rome.

Ciao,
