Social impact in social media: A new method to evaluate the social impact of research

The author’s research shows that researchers from different fields are sharing their research results and opening up a new place for citizens to communicate with their work, that is, various social networking platforms. This means that scientists are not only promoting the dissemination of their research results, but also promoting the dissemination of evidence about how their results might lead to social improvement.
