Organic farming is known for being an environmentally friendly method of farming, but is it a greenhouse gas efficient method of farming? This is the question that I have tried to dissect in my project. Through collaboration with Teagasc and using data from a carbon calculator from Bord Bia I assessed the difference in GHG emissions from organic and convention farming focusing on the case study of the Irish beef sector.
