Hello, I am a young farmer with the dream of leaving my mark on the world, however small or large that may be. I am a firm believer that every human being must play their part to ensure a that the world has a bright future. The philosophy that I live by is to be proud of the ground you call home but respect it like you are a visitor.
I grew up on a mixed farm where my uncle was the main Sheppard while my father managed the crops and horses. I have been able to ride a horse since the time I could walk, and its from then that my love for the great outdoors has developed. My passion for agriculture has taken me through a 4 year bachelors degree in animal and crop production from UCD, a year of working as an agricultural consultant and an MSc in CCAFS. Now I find myself at one of my most important life junctures to date with no definite understanding of my career direction but instead just the philosophy in which I intend to lend to any career path I do take. I believe that we must work in conjunction with nature, conscious of human, animal and floral livelihoods alike. What is next for me? I don’t know, but I am excited by that.
