Growing more food is not enough

In order to meet the significant challenges to agriculture we cannot merely grow more food. We must change the way we produce food, the way we store it, and the way society views food consumption and production.By empowering farmers to develop climate resilient agriculture, it is possible to envisage the elimination of extreme hunger in 15 years. The conservation of resources and use of environment-enhancing approaches, such as conservation agriculture, agroforestry and integrated pest management, have been shown to yield more and deliver significantly better resilience to climate extremes than conventional, chemical agriculture.
