The overall objective of this study is to understand the food system narratives of private sector food suppliers in Vietnam. Little is known yet about private sector actors what they perceive to be their role and responsibility in driving the sustainability of the food system or equally where their opportunities and constraints lie.
The first blog I wrote about food system narratives. These narratives are adopted by the scientific disciplines and academic bodies. With many negative outcomes of our current food system, it is important to understand the roles of the actors within. Much research has been done with producers and consumers, however, there has been little research into the narratives of food suppliers. Therefore, I am hoping to gain a better understanding of private sector food suppliers in Vietnam.
This research will be carried out by undertaking Key Informant Interviews with both formal and informal players in the food supply system in Hanoi.
