Gooood Morning Vietnam!

Dublin → Paris → Hanoi (3 cities, 24 hours) 

I arrived in Hanoi at 6am Friday morning and even at that early hour I was still met with the overwhelming heat as I got off the plane. The taxi brought me to my hotel where I’d be staying for the next few days before finding somewhere more permanent. After a well-deserved nap in an attempt to adjust to the time zone, I ventured out into the hectic streets of Hanoi to explore the area. Scooters and cars whizzed past, maneuvering their way through the congested traffic and even onto footpaths in a bid to get to their destination. Feeling adventurous, I slowly but successfully crossed the road to taste some of the local cuisine. I enjoyed a meal at a busy nearby restaurant where the friendly staff even brought me a fork when they saw me struggling with the chopsticks! A skill I must master over the next few weeks. Tomorrow is the first day of my internship; I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and settling into my new life here in Hanoi. This is only the start of an amazing experience.
