About

My name is Heidi Liddy and I’m part of the 2021-2022 cohort of the MSc CCAFS (Climate Change, Agriculture, & Food Security). I finished my undergrad in Applied Plant Biology from University College Cork in 2021 and wanted to further pursue my interests in food systems and food security which might be very obvious from the content of my blogs.

Following the completion of my undergrad thesis on the effects of oak biochar on perennial ryegrass salt and heat tolerance, I wanted to merge my interests in sustainable agriculture with food supply chains – culminating in my research project “Food Mapping for City Region Food Systems in Bahir Dar, Hanoi and Cali”.
