I submitted my thesis a few days ago and I am now back in the U.S. after a lengthy day of travel. It is definitely a bittersweet feeling to be done with the MScCCAFS program and to have left Galway. There is a lot I will miss but I’m mostly feeling grateful for this experience and optimistic for what the future holds.
The research placement aspect was what drew me to the MScCCAFS program in the first place, and it did not disappoint. Even though placements had to be done remotely due to covid-19, it was still a great experience. I learned so much along the way and have newfound confidence in my research skills. Having some (novice) coding skills also doesn’t hurt.
