About

Hi everyone, welcome to my page. To start the ball rolling I am an M.Sc CCAFS Student attending NUI Galway. I also attended NUI Galway to complete my Undergraduate course in Arts with English and Geography. My dissertation in final year was based on social justice taking into consideration inter-generational dependency and multiculturalism. “The Representation of Muslim-Migrants in the film Yasmin and in Britain” was the title and I completed it using an archival analysis. I am originally from County Mayo but have lived in Galway for many years, it is a great city- especially for students! I then took two years out of college in order to work. During these years I was exposed to how fast waste is accumulated by businesses and the damaging effects it can have on the environment, consequently contributing to climate change. I decided then that I wanted to help change the way we are living and consuming resources, so I applied for the CCAFS course in NUI Galway. My thesis is on evidencing climate variability, vulnerability and resilience and I will be identifying synergies and complementarities between WFP and IFAD in countries where they both work. I am currently working with CIAT in Hanoi, Vietnam on this project and I am looking forward to seeing the outcome. Anyways, that’s all for now. Please keep up to date with progress on my project for my thesis in my blogs.
