The National University of Ireland Galway is a strategic research partner of the CGIAR Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) program. The Research Project will be carried out in collaboration with CGIAR International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), based at Hanoi, Vietnam. The proposed title of the MSc CCAFS research project will be “Linking Humanitarian and Development Interventions into a Joint Resilience Continuum”.

This project will support the International Center for Tropical Agriculture’s (CIAT) climate change team in their collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP), and the main objectives of the research will be to collate, systematize and analyse evidence on climate variability and resilience in countries where WFP, IFAD and CIAT work and to identify complementarities, synergies and missing linkages between these organizations along the climate resilience continuum supported by statistics and analytical comparisons.
