About me

I am an MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security graduate from the National University of Ireland-Galway and I am currently employed at Limpopo Economic Development Agency under the Agribusiness division as a Project Cordinator' responsible for Agribusiness development focussing mainly on Agro processing development in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Our key functions are as follows: facilitate opportunities for Agro processing facilities, pack houses and remodelling of distressed projects, provide Agricultural support to farmers and facilitate funding for both primary and secondary agricultural industry.

I am also a passionate vegetable farmer who is fascinated by fruity vegetables of the nightshade family , tomatoes and peppers. I was voted the Young Aspirant Farmer 2017 in Limpopo province. Raised in a rural farming community in Dzwerani village by my father who is also my farming mentor' a mixed farmer, farming in both livestock and vegetables. Dzwerani village is the village where the former president of the Republic of Venda the late Mr Mphephu during the apartheid era piloted the first sprinkler irrigation system in Venda which he copied during his visit in Israel in the late 80s.

Noticing that my father farming business is not reaching its full economic potential this spurred me to study Agriculture as a career. My father mentored me in both Livestock and Crop production but I later realised that my passion lies in crop production. He basically taught me how to turn my passion into profit.
