About me

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog!

I’m an agriculture economist by trade and I’ve been working with farmers in designing farm business plans in the face of climate change for the past four years. Working closely with smallholder farmers has made me aware of the fragility of their livelihoods especially the food systems to climatic changes. Over the course of my career, I have witnessed first-hand farm losses associated with extreme weather events a situation so devastating for both farmers and extension service providers.
I, therefore, took a step to join the CCAFS MSc program with the aim to learn sustainable mitigation and adaptation options available to increase the resilience of farmers to climate change and building better food systems. I believe the invaluable expertise I will gain will be relevant to pushing the food security agenda forward.
