So my project has been reviewing the literature on bio-slurry and I have a few interesting findings to share. It appears that the process of up scaling and improving upon digestate has not been fully fleshed out for developing countries. There are plenty of reports of digestate filtering and struvite precipitation happening in Europe but little to no information on smallholders in Uganda for example upgrading or improving their digestate. I feel my project will be about the process of making digetsate up scalling available for developing countries as well as finding a means of making the nutrient content of digestate known to smallholders at an affordable price.
