About Me

I’m Amy, a MScCCAFS student and Research Assistant at NUI Galway from Glasgow, Scotland. In 2018 I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Earth Science from the University of Glasgow. I am now undertaking the MScCCAFS programme to develop my knowledge and skills regarding global food systems and how these need transformed while facing the threats associated with climate change. I have a particular interest in technological innovations that can help strengthen agricultural resilience to climate change, in particular remote sensing and machine learning. I am also keen to expand my science communication skills, as I have recognised the opportunity and critical need to connect science and end-users in the agricultural sector.
