Review Article Reflection – Part 1 – New Product Development

As I begin to wrap up my literature review and start diving into my research project. In a series of short blog posts I wanted to reflect on what the literature review taught me about New Product development and the opportunities for the Dairy sector.

I gained a better insight into the NPD process from reading many papers, attending online seminars and re-watching old Teagasc webinars.

In more research, I also used the web to help me better understand trends and consumer demands predicted for 2021. Trends play an influential role in what is demanded and expected from food products. Mintel is a leading market intelligence agency, which analysis consumers, markets, new products and competitive landscapes provides a unique perspective on global and local economies.

These trends help the food industry to identify potential areas for New Product Development .
