One common disposal method among farmers is to burn straw and the other is to dump manure. This is not only harmful to the soil air, even the animals themselves, but also ignores the huge potential of biomass resources. The disconnect between agricultural cultivation and animal husbandry is a problem that cannot be ignored in the current agricultural model. This disjointed agricultural model has led to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers rather than traditional fertilization as a supplement to soil nutrients on the one hand, resulting in a large amount of nitrogen and phosphorus emissions. On the other hand, a large amount of manure biomass resources, which have the potential to be converted into organic fertilizers, have been left unused. Moreover, according to projections, if manure is used as a source of N for half of the arable land, it can supply 70% of the arable land demand in 70% of China’s provinces.
