Each of these perspectives provided a powerful contribution that enabled me to synthesise key learnings and bridge them together to identify pathways for entrepreneurship scaling and a framework for scaling legume-based agribusiness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insights from the innovation literature highlighted that<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert\">Scaling legumes based entrepreneurship requires<\/span>;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/library.oapen.org\/bitstream\/handle\/20.500.12657\/31613\/626406.pdf?sequence=1\" target=\"_blank\">Systemic lens<\/a> that looks through all the players, identifies and work with relevant players with strong business models.<\/li><li>Capacity development to build key entrepreneurship competencies is an enduring factor that prevents premature business failure. <\/li><li>Research and development <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1111\/etap.12167\" target=\"_blank\">are essential<\/a> for new knowledge and innovations that are essential for legumes programming, new products, and services development <\/li><li>Specific entrepreneurship stimulating policies like tax incentives provides scaling legitimacy and guidance of search to legume-based products <\/li><li>A clear market focus with strong legume products differentiation and promotion is required to stimulate sustained legumes demand <\/li><li>Strong financial capital and human capital are essential, which necessitates partnerships and innovation platforms.  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The entrepreneurship ecosystem approach also corroborates  some key aspects for successful scaling as follows; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Local resources, networks, regulation, institutions, market conditions, culture, and resources including technology <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1111\/etap.12167\" target=\"_blank\">shapes the context <\/a>of entrepreneurship activities.<\/li><li>Successful entrepreneurship is often associated with a strong, easily accessible financial capital base, and with the presence of supportive and visible investors, and their networks. <\/li><li>Supporting entrepreneurship should secure or de-risk or blend private capital,&nbsp; or make affordable venture capital accessible to specifically verified productive entrepreneurs and stimulate product\u2019s market demand. <\/li><li>Agribusiness incubation and acceleration programmes are fundamental for supporting entrepeneurs, and can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raflearning.org\/post\/agribusiness-sub-saharan-africa-pathways-for-developing-innovative-programs-for-youth-and-rural\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a powerful force and pathway<\/a> for scaling legume-based entreprises. <\/li><li>Developing core competencies for  entrepreneurship management is fundamental to successful scaling.<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1111\/etap.12167\" target=\"_blank\">Identifying and forming patnerships<\/a> with key  mentors or advisors, associations, incubators, accelerators, private capita sources,  government departments and strengthening policy environment  is key for providing a suppotive environment for successful scaling <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lastly, the value chain development or market system development perspective also highlighted the following among others;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sustrainable legumes value chain development should provide a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cgspace.cgiar.org\/bitstream\/handle\/10568\/100158\/Literature%20Review%20on%20scaling%20up%20of%20behavior%20change.pdf?sequence=1&amp;isAllowed=y\" target=\"_blank\">clear business sense,<\/a> stimulate interest, and brings positive outcomes for all market players.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emerald.com\/insight\/content\/doi\/10.1108\/JADEE-06-2017-0065\/full\/html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Multi-stakeholder innovation platforms<\/a> are key for successful entreprenurship scaling<\/li><li>Legumes-based entrepreneurship can be accelerated through <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2340943616300469\" target=\"_blank\">product upgrading<\/a> (moving into more value-added products), <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2340943616300469\" target=\"_blank\">functional upgrading<\/a> (increases value for money through tasks upgrading) and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2340943616300469\" target=\"_blank\">inter-sectoral upgrading<\/a> (upgrading into new value-added supply chains). <\/li><li>Targeting legumes value chain development has a great potential to emancipate and economically empower women as most legumes are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cabdirect.org\/cabdirect\/abstract\/20203205340\" target=\"_blank\">women\u2019s crops<\/a>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some Useful References<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DEVAUX, A., TORERO, M., DONOVAN, J. &amp;
