To today i ran another PCR assay with the DNA i previously extracted from the faecal samples from the farm in Teagasc, Athenry.
The results indicated that the samples on the farm were negative but this time i had a positive control. This means we definitely know that the PCR worked. I can now actually use this data in my thesis.
Above we can see the image of the gel under UV light and a picture of me and Eoin waiting on the sample to be analysed in the gel imager.
