There are two sections in this post guide - CSA for adaptation and CSA for mitigation.

OUR WORLD - ITS STATE

Humans have caused 1°C of global warming from the pre- industrial era due to Green House Gases (GHGs) emissions and land use exchange. Leading international bodies such as World Meteorological Organization (WMO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), indicate that accelerated activities of man have occurred in the mid-20th century. Particularly, the burning of fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum has contributed to much emission of GHGs affecting the solar radiative budget. Consequently, global warming has issued. Sea Level Rise (SLR), typhoons, cyclones, heat waves, droughts, extreme cold, proliferation of new pests and diseases. youtube.com/watch?v=bT-7L2f1DYY Food systems are under threat as much as the ecosystem systems. The new world faces food security amid the escalated population levels while human settlement has become a nightmare.

Climate smart Agriculture (CSA) provides adaptation and mitigation for the anthropogenic warming. Success of CSA lies on gender dimensions. see reason why technology for climate change should be gender sensitive especially for women: youtube.com/watch?v=ony2GHjYEro

The role and input of both men and women is starting point. therefore, from childhood and early days at school issues about energy consumption and climate change is of enormous importance to protect the world. In fact, no one group needs exclusion or it will be unlikely that initiatives will develop in a way that would suit the excluded group. The world desperately needs to achieve 1.5 degrees by 2050. This too will promote sustainable productions, both at school P.U. and the general farming fraternity. It is hoped that readers will link to URLs providing the CSA herein .

SECTIONS

SECTION 1 - CSAs FOR ADAPTAION

(a) Vertical sack gardening technology for marginal land and where land is limited

https://youtu.be/8nGB_v3qInk Learn how to constructing a vertical garden sack - an agriculture science teacher managing PU tells it all- Zambia

https://youtu.be/DduV2SGhJDU Skills of planting using vertical garden sack- Nigeria

https://youtu.be/Z5zLqAjKAi0 Vertical sack garden a silver bullet - see merits - Kenya

https://youtu.be/COjXebeaadw Vertical garden sack scaled to SME - Zimbabwe

https://youtu.be/bAXHn0-gxZA Vertical garden sack creates employment - Nigeria

(b) Conservation farming

https://youtu.be/0LH6-w57Slw No digging gardening

(c) Small livestock production - GOATS REARING

https://youtu.be/DdfJmVuL9TM Meet a successful mixed farmer

https://youtu.be/RX7yuGswAVs Tips on starting goat farming

https://youtu.be/w-vGIcSXGfU feeding approaches and general goat management

https://youtu.be/bw0Ct48tjlA Learn from experiences on the farm

https://youtu.be/xmCU2WRGXI0 Set a goal of success in goat rearing

https://youtu.be/t6lUGT4Cgmk Getting the best out of your goat enterprise, how? = Breed, Housing, Water, Hygiene, feed, veterinary services, etc.

(d) Aquaculture

https://youtu.be/PWqU0OdUkao Pond water filter with local materials

https://youtu.be/IL9qYJ7db8U Pond water filter in operation

https://youtu.be/O7XzjNq3TY8 Create a fish pond using a PVC drum

https://youtu.be/N9zVLh2dGt0 Trash bin turned into a filter

https://youtu.be/lBGgTzMI4_Y A fish pond for adornment value

https://youtu.be/V_LS_wXxfWc constructed ponds (SME - scale)

https://youtu.be/vPx1tx9rtdI Improve CP with eggs for fish

https://youtu.be/tpIgVAiF5Lk Feed for your fish

(e) Water technology adaptation in the face of climate change and disease & human health

(f) Communication assist small holder farmers example of M-Pesa

https://youtu.be/i0dBWaen3aQ

(g) hydroponics

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGgcoZKympI kenya

SECTION 2- CSAs FOR MITIGATION

Energy technology

https://youtu.be/1kUE0BZtTRc renewable energy combust climate change, reduce pollution, reliable and easy to operate

https://youtu.be/T9P6ywewmmk Generation of natural Methane for heating and lighting.

https://youtu.be/TRXP8l4MKfc Improved traditional stoves - Kenya

https://youtu.be/xjazU0pe-do portable improved cook stove

ABSTRACT The aim of this topic guide is to provide readers with technologies/approaches that foster resilient food systems https://youtu.be/0wARk2RBetY?t=77 Our world requires adaptation and mitigation strategies which can ameliorate the effects of climate change.
