She holds a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science (Crop Science) obtained from the North-West University in South Africa. She is interested in promoting sustainable agricultural productivity, global food security and climate change adaptation and mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>Mercy's Masters research project will be conducted in collaboration between NUI Galway-CCAFS and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). The research work will focus on targeting new climate-resilient feeds and forages in the smallholder mixed farming systems of East Africa. Tools such as ArcGIS and R software will be used to produce maps which show vulnerable areas.
