Literature Review Draft 2

It’s been busy the past few days.

After a short break away from Ireland for 7 days it was time to return working on the thesis.

A colleague who just finished his PHD offered some advice on the first draft of my literature review. Very valuable advice it was too. A second opinion from a proven academic can help structure work and maintain focus.

Adjustments to the layout and structure have been underway the last few days and draft two should be ready soon! There were small errors that have been edited, ones which may seem blind to the author. This shows the importance of proofreading and getting a second opinion.

I had a problem with Endnote, the referencing software recommended by the university during draft one, but thankfully that has been rectified.

Preparations have also been underway for my trip to IRRI in the Philippines. Received vaccinations today and need to get a medical report, acceptance form and visa sorted. The plan is to get these forms finished and draft two of the literature review submitted within the next three days.

I’m also looking into investigating machinery supply chains and property rights to machinery parts at the end of the week.

Busy times..
