I am a Master&#8217;s student studying Climate Change, Agriculture, and Food Security (CCAFS) at NUI Galway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I graduated with a BA in Environmental Earth Science and Global Poverty and Practice from UC Berkeley in 2014. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After graduating from Berkeley, I began working with Edible Schoolyard NYC in 2015. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edibleschoolyardnyc.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.edibleschoolyardnyc.org\/\">Edible Schoolyard NYC<\/a> is a nonprofit based in New York that partners with public schools to provide hands-on gardening and cooking education. I worked as a garden teacher at PS 216 in Gravesend, Brooklyn, providing in-school classes, family programming, food access events, school-wide sustainability initiatives, and professional development workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I left Edible Schoolyard NYC in 2021 to pursue the Master&#8217;s of Science in CCAFS at NUI Galway. I am currently completing a research project for my thesis on regenerative agriculture and its environmental benefits, focusing mainly on the soil carbon sequestion potential. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, my name is Emily Rehberger.
