Dear reader(s),
“My interest in health and well-being has brought me this far. I acknowledge the contribution of ALL who made me reach here.”
I appreciate.

Welcome to my Blog๐.
My name is Emelda Nguma, (they also call me Emmy), a Tanzanian nutritionist with an environmental health science background from Sokoine University of Agriculture and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
I am currently pursuing MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) at the Ryan Institute at the National University of Ireland, Galway) (NUIG).
I am happy to blog about my major interests in “Health, Gender, Food systems, Climate change, Agriculture and Food Security“ so keep an eye on the CONTENTS tab ๐
Why I Became A Blogger?
I have learned ๐blogging in my current MSc CCAFS course and here is the result of “My Own Blog”. I also have a great interest in using social media to educate the public. I can say “I am now a NEW Blogger in the Social-Academic Arena”๐.

What Next?
My educational background and working experience in nutrition-sensitive projects such as Agriculture to Nutrition (ATONU) and FEED THE FUTURE TANZANIA MBOGA NA MATUNDA in the Central and Southern parts of Tanzania in East Africa, made me develop more interest in food systems. With the use of my knowledge and skills, I will assist my country-Tanzania and the African continent in building a sustainable food system in collaboration with the governments and private sectors to lessen the hunger, malnutrition, and poverty burden among the population, hence achieving food security for all. My blog will also be in-line to support, and promote the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and make them visible to readers.
Remarks
We all need food, and we all need to be healthy. It is our responsibility to ensure a sustainable food system exists for the sake of combating food insecurities ๐ฅ. I am happy to share this information with the public, and read comments and suggestions from the viewers. Let’s start this journey together ๐ค
Asante Sana ๐น๐ฟ
