This week, Michael Bloomberg through his charity, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.org\/\">Bloomberg Philanthropies<\/a>, pledged US$4.5 million to cover the U.S. contribution to the UN&#8217;s climate change secretariat. His charity offered $15m to cover a separate climate change shortfall last year. Michael Bloomberg also launched the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wearestillin.com\/us-action-climate-change-irreversible\">We Are Still In<\/a>\u201d declaration and created <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americaspledgeonclimate.com\/\">America\u2019s Pledge<\/a> on climate change with California Governor Jerry Brown in the summer of 2017 to\u00a0demonstrate that the U.S. \u2014 through the support of U.S. cities, states, businesses and other non-federal actors \u2014 can meet its pledge under the Paris Agreement.
