Pushing our research forward at University of Galway 🚀
As we edge closer to submitting our paper, I met today with my co-author Noel and fellow classmate Mukwiza to dive deeper into our draft and data. We put some statistical power tools to work and uncovered some interesting patterns:
🔍 Adoption Patterns: A positive correlation (0.13) between TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) and Paris Agreement (PA) compliance suggests that companies engaging with one framework are somewhat more likely to adopt the other.
⚖️ Implementation Gap: More broadly, the relatively weak correlations across frameworks point to selective adoption. Many companies appear to implement certain elements for visibility or ease, rather than committing comprehensively.
