This website communicates the learnings gained on my paper written to qualify for a Climate Change , Agriculture and Food Security Masters taught at The University of Galway , Ireland. The ambition is to publish a seminal piece of research in a high ranking peer reviewed journal.

I am a food industry professional turned climate advocate and Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security ( CCAFS) Masters student researcher , at the University of Galway. I am academically delving into the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for businesses.

I am writing a paper to be published in a reputable scientific journal with the working title ” Corporate Sustainability Reporting – Moving Beyond Greenwash ? ” .

Objectives

Analyze whether current EU reporting rules drive real climate mitigation aligned with EU climate policy.

Evaluate if disclosures—particularly in food & agri‐supply chains—are transparent enough to expose green performance.

Recommend ways reporting rules and stakeholder tools can evolve to move beyond compliance checklists and rhetoric.

This involves reviewing in depth the European legislation that lays down sustainablity reporting standards for businesses.
