I am a Masters Student at the University of Galway studying Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security.
My background is in Agribusiness, having studied Food and Agribusiness Management in University College Dublin as my bachelors degree. I have always been interested in this field, having been passionate about innovative and alternative food products for much of my life. my undergraduate thesis researched packaging free stores in Ireland and the relationship they have with consumers
My interests lie in the field of sustainable food production and nutrition from an environmental perspective. My hopes are, as time progresses and the urgency of what the worlds food system faces increase, we as humans become more in tune with what we eat and where it comes from. I believe that we all could eat more sustainably and make better choices, but know that its not easy.
In this blog I hope to tell you about some of my interests, what I’m doing with my thesis and what I intent to do after. Who knows, maybe you’ll even get some extras along the way!
